Cedarhill Farm began in the 1970’s with Nora Cooke. Originally on Providence Road, just south of Alexander Rd. it moved to Waxhaw in 1989 when Nora wanted to retire, and develop the farm into the neighborhood “Cedarhill”.

Right out of college, Brian and I (Andrea) couldn’t resist the offer of taking up Cedarhill and assuming the lease at 4514 Waxhaw Marvin Rd where Nora Cooke and her friend and client Susan Clayton had moved to.

In 1991 an electrical fire burned the barn down to the ground, taking our possesions, farm and riding equipment and tack, as well as eight very nice, beloved horses.

With the tremendous help of all my clients, headed by John Tarleton and Lynn Hipp, we purchased land and built our barn at the new location at 2620 Waxhaw Marvin Rd.

For over 24 years Brian and I have continued to work, establishing Cedarhill Farm into the first class facility you see before you. Between the two of us we continue to be involved in the scheduling and conducting all of our horse shows, clinics, camps, riding lessons and benefits.
