The Country Saddler who has made our custom stall drapes, wool coolers/dress sheets, rain sheets, and scrims is taking orders for more horse ware. The wool for the dress sheets will not be the same as in years past- instead we have found a new lighter weight beautiful olive/hunter green wool which compliments the burgundy trim and tan piping. The same leather closures and plaid lining will complete the piece.
All of these items are beautifully made and with proper care will last a lifetime. In keeping with what we have done in the past; Cedarhill Farm is embroidered on the barrel and either the horse’s Show name or the owner’s last name is embroidered on the left shoulder. The dress sheets are used at the shows on your horse to keep them warm when walking to and from the show ring from the stable area. They are too fancy to use as a “robe” after getting a bath like other coolers are used. It is also used to keep them warm, waiting for the jog at the A shows. While the horse is in the schooling or show ring we find that these dress sheets are quite popular keeping horse moms and dads warm as well!
The Scrims are used in a similar fashion as the dress sheets, in the summer. Lightweight netting material keeps the sun and flies off your horse. It also dresses them up and makes them look fancy! The rain sheets are made of sunbrella material and act as a rain coat, keeping horse and equipment dry in foul weather at the show.
