Cedarhill Farm has hosted great instructors and trainers from all over the U.S. for both our own, as well as outside riders, including Danny Robertshaw, Ron Danta, Jack Towell, Daniel Geitner, George Wallace, Pat Dodson, Shelby French, Jeannie Smith, Martha and Armand Chenelle, Joey Darby, Don Stewart and Scott Hofsetter. Our goal is to constantly learn new approaches that improve our riding and horsemanship.

Bob Brawley has over 30 years of experience on the hunter jumper circuit. His dynamic career has been vast and hugely successful. He originated showing and training under the guidance of his mother, Judy Brawley in Oregon. Together they ran a show barn that included a string of hunters, jumpers, youth and amateurs. Bob is known for his classic style, quality horsemanship, and unwavering attention to detail; all of which he easily and effortlessly conveys to his students and horses, giving them the ability to have confident, fun and successful show careers. Bob Brawley is currently doing business in Del Mar California. He has teamed up with the international expertise of Jean-Yves Angers, who carries a resume as hefty as Bob’s. Jean-Yves brings years of experience, and holds the same un- wavering virtues of quality of horsemanship and flawless attention to detail as Bob. Bob and Jean Yves are a dynamic partnership. This team is growing at an exponential rate and currently experiencing enormous success at every level on the circuit. 

Our clinics are normally set up in 1 ½ to 2 hrs. long sessions with 6 to 8 riders per group of compatable ages and levels. We try to have levels divided by fence height ; 2', 2'6, 3', and 3'6 as well as green and made horses. Contact us for more specific information reguarding dates and rates.

Birthday parties at Cedarhill farm

Have your child’s next birthday at our picturesque farm in Waxhaw with our fun and friendly staff and fabulous ponies! Cedarhill now offers a wonderful birthday experience on Sunday afternoons for your children and their friends who love horses and ponies.

• We provide the ponies, helmets, hostess, and party space.
• Heated and Air conditioned room available for present opening and
birthday cake time!
• Large spacious barn aisle to ride in extreme heat or rain.
• Games- Pin the tail on the Pony, bob for apples and many more!
• Birthdays parties for children 5 years old and up.
• Feed pails are provided for treat giving- cut carrots and apples are best!
• We provide all the clean up afterwards.

Let our hostess help you plan your next party at our farm. We do our parties on Sunday afternoons and start the party having everyone pitch in to groom and tack the pony up. After tacking up, our kind, and gentle pony lead by our qualified hostess gives everyone a tour around our farm. Children, supervised by parents, enjoy feeding treats to our horses and dogs while waiting their turn to ride. We finish up our riding with lots of help from the children; brushing or hosing our pony down and then it is cake and game time!

We can accommodate a maximum of 10 kids per pony with one hostess for the fee of $250. for a 2 hour fun filled time. For those with larger numbers of guests, more ponies or horses and hostesses for an additional $225. per pony or horse can be arranged.

Please note that we do not offer any food, drinks, eating utensils or decorations but you are more than welcome to bring them with you. Plan on also bringing cut carrots and apples. The feed pails we provide ensure a fun, safe treat giving time with no finger nibbling! And with any party what is best of all- we will clean up afterwards!
