Saddle Up for St. Jude Benefit Trail Ride

Cedarhill is hosting a St. Jude Charity Trail ride and a Family Fun day for all of our riders as well as those of our community. Our goal in holding this event is to help raise funds to fight childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a world leader in the fight against these diseases such as cancer, AIDS,sickle cell disease, and other catastrophic diseases. They have made great progress because of the help of people who participate and donate in events like "Saddle Up For St.Jude" By participating in and attending this event, you will help raise funds for the world's premier pediatric cancer research center. Cedarhill will be donating their facility to the horse community and horses for Cedarhill riders to participate. Everyone wanting to help as well as donate to the cause is welcome!

This will be a truly fun day for both riders and horses, as well as their family. How to Get Started

First of all down load a pledge sheet (posted below as Saddle Up Form) from this page and read it carefully.

Ask your family, friends, co-workers and others to make a contribution to St. Jude to help fight childhood cancers. The more sponsors you have, the better your chance of winning a prize.

Then email us info@cedarhillfarminc.com to RSVP for that you are coming! Include the number of family members and friends you will be bringing that will be enjoying Family Day with you. This will help us for planning the food we will need. This is a good time to submit your request for a stall (if desired) if you are bringing your own horse to ride on the trail ride. We only have approximately 23 stalls to loan out so email us early! If your barn is close by, be kind to others and take your horse home afterwards to free up stalls for those whose don't have that luxury. A minimum pledge of $100 is required for a stall. You also will need to let us know which time you wish to ride (11 am or 12:30).

If you are a Cedarhill student wishing to participate, sign up on the bulletin board in our main barn. All Cedarhill riders must have a minimum of $100. in pledges to use Cedarhill horses or ponies. There will be both trail ride times posted. We will assign the horses and ponies. Please RSVP via email info@cedarhillfarminc.com so that we get an accurate head count for Family Day. Include the number of family members and friends you will be bringing that will be enjoying Family Day with you. This will help us for planning the food we will need. Also on the board will be the sign up for those wishing to do the bareback ride after the trail ride.

Come to Cedarhill Farm on Sunday, December 2 early enough to hand in your pledge sheet complete with all the donations you have collected and be ready to ride out on your trail ride at your designated time. Enjoy a fun time with all of the riders of our community. Then take care of your mount so that you can then join us for a great dance and cookout party!
