Aiken March Madness

Lots of success for our riders and their horses over the last two March A and March C shows… I highlighted some of it with our  Instagram/Facebook account.

February  C Show-

Leah Worthy & Ivy- moving up to the Adult hunter division were reserve champion. Emily Hully-Roach & Ripple were great in the pre-adult hunter division earning a championship and reserve. Willow and Caroline were reserve champion first day, champion the second in the Green hunter division. Lottie and Gigi were champion in the short stirrup hunter, Honey and Izzy reserve in the Equitation, Splotch & Leigh were champion in the equitation and won the first Derby that they had ever competed in ( and at the new 2’6 height)  Velvet and Samantha were also champion and second in the Derby, also for the first time at the new height. Caitlin & Reggie were super consistent and earned great ribbons. Henry & Rebeka were champions in the children’s division, their first one together once they figured out Henry’s lead changes! Cecelia Caldwell  & Carmen were champion in both the walk trot canter and cross rail division. Her sister Annie was also great on Jackson. Davenport had a tough show with Justin- who wasn’t performing to the best of his ability despite a good ride from Davenport. We have since gotten him up and running and we expect good things from them the next time!

March Madness I-

With only three going to Aiken due to Caroline taking our IEA team to Zones it was simple. Continuing on her winning streak- Rebeka & Henry pulled out a championship in the children’s hunter division- despite a rough start on Saturday. Lindsey & Calypso were reserve champion in the junior 3’6 division and Jordan earned good ribbons including a winning trip in the children’s division.

March Madness II-

It was exciting to watch Allyson on Oro- her first time showing him, as well as doing the junior hunter division. That they ended up champion was extraordinary. Riding her new horse Enzo for the first time in the baby jumpers- the .85 meter and low children’s jumpers was also fun to watch. Lindsey & Calypso were once again reserve champion in the 3’6 juniors with Emily and Sawyer doing well. Kat’s pony needed a short break and so she showed  Henry for first time- earning double reserve champion in both the eq and hunter division. Wes & Cider were champions in the 11 & under eq and were second in both pony classes the second day- they are certainly making headway! AC & Epic were terrific in the children’s division – first time for them together. They won the THIS eq as well the championship. Jordan & Patrick earned the reserve, and Lizzy & Dante won the Classic. Haley & Elmer learned a lot , along with Sara & Clementine. Coleman & Eli had a rough Saturday but pulled it together to end up overall WIHS Eq winner. Caroline & Tiger earned a reserve champion in the 12-17 eq, and won both classes the second day of the 3’3 junior hunter division. Caroline Foto & Willow earned good ribbons in the green division, including a second place in the incentive (Which is a money class!)
